Private Tutoring Bali Help Center

Welcome to the Private Tutoring Bali help centre. If you are new to tutoring in Bali, comparing options, or ready to book a private tutor for your child, this page answers the questions we hear most often from international families. We cover how bookings work, how pricing is structured, how we match tutors to students, which curricula and subjects we support, safeguarding procedures, cancellation policies, online tutoring, and specialist learning support.

Our team provides one-on-one private tutoring in Canggu, Ubud, Sanur, Seminyak, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Berawa, Kerobokan, Pererenan and across the rest of Bali. Lessons take place in your villa, online, or at school depending on what suits your family best. We support students from early years through to university entrance, including children who need extra help settling into a new school system after relocating. If you cannot find the answer you need, the fastest way to get help is to send us a WhatsApp message and a member of our team will reply directly.

Booking Your First Tutor Session

Booking a private tutor in Bali starts with a short conversation. You can message us on WhatsApp, complete the contact form on our /contact page, or request a /student-assessment so we can understand your child’s current level, learning goals, and any support needs before the first session. We ask about age, school, curriculum, preferred subjects, location, schedule, and any learning differences.

Once we understand your situation, we recommend a tutor profile and propose a trial lesson. Most families are matched within one to three days. The first session is an opportunity for the tutor, parent, and child to agree goals, establish rapport, and plan a learning route. You are not locked into a long-term contract and can adjust the schedule as your child’s needs change. After the trial we share brief feedback and a suggested learning plan, so you can decide whether to continue before committing to a package.

Pricing, Packages and Payment

Pricing depends on the subject, year group, session length, and whether tuition is one-to-one or shared. We are transparent about fees and will confirm the hourly rate before the first lesson. Families who book regular weekly sessions often benefit from a package rate, while holiday intensives and exam-preparation blocks are priced separately.

Payment is normally made by bank transfer in advance of the scheduled sessions. Invoices are issued monthly and include a clear breakdown of lessons delivered. For a full overview of current rates, visit our /pricing-guide page. If your child needs multiple subjects or specialist SEN tutoring, we can design a bundled plan that brings the best value without compromising quality. Holiday intensives, exam boot camps, and travelling families requiring short-term support can also be quoted on a project basis.

Tutor Matching, Curricula and Subjects

We match tutors based on subject expertise, curriculum familiarity, location, personality fit, and any specialist experience. Whether your child follows the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge Primary, Australian, or another international curriculum, we aim to place a tutor who understands the syllabus and assessment style. Popular requests include support for IB and IGCSE programmes, so many families start by exploring our /ib-tutors-bali and /cambridge-igcse-tutors-bali pages.

Tutors are available for primary school support, secondary transition, exam preparation, university entrance, and adult learners. We also cover confidence-building, study skills, and children who are falling behind after a school move. Each tutor is selected for their ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt pace, and build the independence that helps students perform well inside and outside the classroom.

In-Villa, Online and School-Based Tutoring

Families in Bali usually choose one of three delivery options. /home-visit-tutoring-bali brings a tutor to your villa, which is ideal for younger children, SEN learners, and families who want lessons to fit naturally around home life. /online-tutoring-bali works well for older students, travelling families, and busy schedules where an in-person session is not practical. School-based support can be arranged through our school partnerships programme when the school agrees.

Each format follows the same safeguarding standards and lesson planning. Tutors arrive prepared with resources, feedback notes, and progress targets. Online sessions use reliable video platforms, shared whiteboards, and screen sharing to keep learning interactive. You can switch between formats as your family’s routine changes.

Safeguarding and SEN Support

Child safety is central to how we operate. Every tutor is interviewed, reference checked, and undergoes a police background check before joining our team. We maintain clear child-protection procedures, communication boundaries, and villa-visit guidelines. You can read more on our /background-checks-bali page.

We also provide specialist learning support for children with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism, auditory processing differences, anxiety-based school refusal, and other learning needs. Support can include one-on-one /sen-support-bali, study-skills coaching, or a /shadow-teacher-bali in school. We are tutors, not medical professionals. We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. We work from existing reports, school feedback, and parent input to build an educational plan that complements any therapy or medical support your child receives. Our SEN tutors use multi-sensory techniques, clear routines, and positive reinforcement to reduce anxiety and rebuild confidence in subjects that previously felt overwhelming.

Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds

We understand that family schedules in Bali can change quickly. If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please give us at least twenty-four hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with sufficient notice can usually be moved to another time in the same billing period. Late cancellations or missed lessons may be charged at the tutor’s discretion because the time has been reserved.

Refunds are handled according to our published refund policy. In most cases, credit is offered against future lessons rather than a cash refund. If you are unhappy with a tutor match, let us know after the first session and we will find a replacement at no extra cost. Our goal is to make tutoring flexible and low-risk for international families.
