How we work to keep children safe in home and villa tutoring: vetting, conduct standards, supervision guidance, reporting and parent communication. This policy applies to every tutor, on every placement.
Private Tutoring Bali provides one-to-one tutoring to children aged 4 to 17, most often in the family home. That setting carries a particular duty of care, and this policy sets out how we meet it.
Our commitments are simple to state. Every tutor is vetted before meeting a family. Every tutor works under written conduct standards. Parents receive a written profile of the tutor before the first session, and written notes after every session. And any concern, from any parent, tutor or child, is received by a senior member of our team and acted on.
Scope of this work: We are tutors, not clinicians. Safeguarding here covers how educators conduct sessions in your home; it does not replace clinical assessment, therapy or statutory child-protection services.
Before working with families, tutors complete identity, qualification and reference checks, an interview and a demonstration lesson. We record any SKCK Indonesian police clearance obtained. Tutors also sign a conduct declaration and receive a child-protection briefing.
The full process, including what each check covers and what we deliberately do not claim, is set out on our vetting page. Checks are refreshed on a regular cycle, and conduct declarations are confirmed again whenever this policy is reviewed.
Every tutor signs up to written conduct standards before the first session. The standards exist so that families, tutors and children all know what a professional session looks like, and so that anything outside it is easy to recognise and report.
We ask that a parent, carer or another responsible adult is at home, or immediately contactable on the property, during sessions with younger children. For older students, we agree the supervision arrangement with you in writing before tutoring begins.
Supervision does not mean watching the lesson. It means the session happens inside the household’s normal life, in an open space, with an adult within reach. Tutors plan seating and rooms accordingly, and our team raises it with you if the arrangement drifts.
Our office also supervises the work itself: session notes after every hour, a progress summary every four weeks, and direct contact between parents and our team whenever it is needed.
You receive the tutor’s written profile before the first paid session, so the person who arrives is the person you approved. After each session a short note tells you what was covered and how your child responded, and every four weeks a fuller written summary reports progress against the agreed goals.
If we change anything material about the placement, including the tutor, the schedule or the plan, we tell you before it happens, not after.

Every concern is read by a senior member of our team. We reply within one working day, tell you what happens next, and keep you informed until the matter is resolved. Where a concern involves a tutor’s conduct, the tutor does not visit your home while it is being addressed.
If a child may be in immediate danger, contact the local authorities first, then tell us. Our role in safeguarding is prevention, supervision and honest reporting; investigation belongs to the proper authorities.
Vetting, conduct standards, supervision guidance and reporting apply to every tutor on every placement, at every rate tier, whether sessions run at your home, villa, hotel or on a school campus.
Parents and carers are welcome, and for younger children we ask that a responsible adult is at home or immediately contactable on the property. Sessions always take place in an open, shared area of the home.
A senior member of our team reads every concern and replies within one working day. We explain what happens next, act on it, and keep you informed. Where a concern involves a tutor’s conduct, that tutor does not visit your home while it is addressed.
Session notes, goals and progress summaries are shared only with you and the tutor working with your child, and handled under our privacy policy. We never publish anything identifying a child without written permission, which can be withdrawn at any time.
