What we collect when you enquire or book, how we use it, and how we protect your family’s and your child’s information. Questions are welcome: email info@privatetutoringbali.com and we reply within one working day.
When you enquire, we collect the details you give us: your name, contact details such as your WhatsApp number or email address, and the information you share about your child, typically age, year group, school, curriculum and area.
When tutoring begins, we keep the written brief for your child, the agreed goals, session notes, four-weekly progress summaries, and invoices and payment records.
When you visit this website, standard technical information such as pages visited and approximate location may be collected to keep the site working and to understand how it is used.
We use your information to do the thing you asked us to do: respond to your enquiry, propose a suitable tutor, agree a brief, deliver sessions, report progress and invoice correctly. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to market unrelated services to you.
If we would like to use any part of your family’s experience publicly, for example in a testimonial or case study, we ask for written permission first. Permission can be withdrawn at any time, and material is removed within one working day of a request.
Information about your child is collected from you, the parent, and is limited to what tutoring genuinely requires: educational background, current schoolwork, goals and progress.
Access to a child’s information is restricted to the tutor working with that child and the members of our team who manage the placement. Tutors communicate with children through the parent’s agreed channel, never through private messaging with the child. We never publish anything that identifies a child without written parental permission.
We share information only where the service requires it: your child’s tutor receives the brief and goals, and payment processing is handled by the bank or card provider you choose. Where a school is involved, for example in a shadow-teacher placement, information is shared with the school only with your agreement.
We use a small number of service providers to operate, such as messaging and accounting tools. Each receives only the information needed for its function. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
Enquiry information for families who do not proceed is kept for a limited period and then deleted. Records for active and past clients, including session notes, progress summaries and invoices, are kept for as long as the placement continues and for a reasonable period afterwards, to answer questions and meet accounting obligations.
You can ask us at any time what we hold about your family, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted where we have no continuing obligation to keep it.
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you and your child, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or ask us to delete information we no longer need. Email info@privatetutoringbali.com and we reply within one working day.
