What to expect when you work with Private Tutoring Bali, from your first enquiry and tutor matching to lesson planning, session notes and progress reviews.

Hello, and welcome. If you are reading this, you are probably where most of our families begin: a child whose schoolwork has become harder than it should be, a recent move to Bali, or simply the feeling that one capable adult could make the difference.
The first step is deliberately small. Send us four lines on WhatsApp: your child’s age and year group, school, curriculum and area. We reply within one working day. You are not committing to anything by writing, and there is no sales process waiting on the other side, just a careful conversation.
The discovery call
Every engagement starts with a complimentary 30-minute discovery call on WhatsApp. This is where we listen. You tell us about the school, the curriculum, the subjects that have become hard, and the temperament that makes one adult a good fit for your child and another a poor one.
We will ask questions you may not expect, about routines, about what your child enjoys, about what a good week looks like in your house. These details are what make a match work. By the end of the call we both know whether we are likely to be suitable for your brief.
Meeting your tutor
After the call we write a brief for your child and propose a tutor whose subject, curriculum knowledge, personality and schedule fit it. You receive the tutor’s written profile before the first session, on the timeline agreed after your discovery call, so the person who arrives is the person you approved.
The first session helps the tutor understand your child’s starting point and introduce a suitable way of working. We agree on the start date after you approve the profile and confirm availability. If the approach or tutor needs to change, your coordinator will help.
Daily notes and weekly goals
Goals are agreed in writing at the start, in plain language you can check. After each session you receive a short note: what was covered, how your child responded, and what to reinforce before next time. Every four weeks a fuller progress summary arrives, set against those goals.
If progress stalls, we say so, and we change the plan or the tutor. You should never have to ask how it is going.
Pricing in brief
One rate card, in Indonesian rupiah, confirmed in writing before the first session: Standard IDR 500,000 per hour for children, Advanced IDR 800,000 per hour for companies, and Master IDR 1,000,000 per hour for specialist teaching. Your written quote confirms travel arrangements and any additional cost for your address.
Prepaid packages receive a discount. The full rate card, with everything included and excluded, lives on the pricing guide, and we would rather you read it before you write to us than after.
Questions families ask
The questions we hear most are practical: how cancellations work, where sessions take place, what happens if the tutor is not the right fit. Cancel or reschedule free of charge with 24 or more hours’ notice. Sessions happen at your home, villa or hotel, or online. And if the match is wrong, we change it.

Tell us within 48 hours and we refund that session in full, then adjust the plan or the tutor. Terms sit in the refund policy.
How do I read the published rates?
The full card — Standard, Advanced and Master — is on the pricing guide, confirmed in writing before you book.
How do cancellations work?
Cancel or reschedule free of charge with 24 or more hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged in full.
