How It Works

Free assessment (optional): We start with a 45-60 minute student assessment where the tutor meets your child, reviews their current level, and identifies the specific topics that need attention. This is not a test. It is a conversation starter.

Weekly or intensive sessions: Most students have one or two sessions per week. Some students prefer intensive blocks before exams. We are flexible.

In your villa or online: We come to your villa in Canggu, Ubud, Sanur, Seminyak, or surrounding areas. We also offer online tutoring via Zoom with digital whiteboards and screen sharing.

Tutor matching: We match your child with a tutor who has physics teaching experience and knowledge of the specific syllabus they are studying. IB physics tutors are different from IGCSE physics tutors. We know the difference.

Progress tracking: After every session, the tutor sends a brief update: what was covered, what the student understood, what needs more work, and what the next session will focus on. Every four weeks, you receive a formal progress report.

Syllabi We Cover

IB Physics (HL and SL): We cover all core topics and option topics. We can also help with the Internal Assessment and Extended Essay.
Cambridge IGCSE Physics: We cover all topics in the 0625 syllabus, including Core and Extended papers. We know the past papers and mark schemes.

Do you provide past papers?

Yes. We have access to past papers and mark schemes for IGCSE, IB, A-Level, and Australian exams. We use these in sessions to build exam technique and confidence.

Can you help with university physics?

Yes. We can support first-year university physics courses. For more advanced university physics, we will assess whether our tutors have the required expertise before accepting the booking.

What if my child is struggling with the maths in physics?

Many physics difficulties are actually maths difficulties. Our tutors can identify whether the problem is physics understanding or maths skills, and address both. We can also combine physics tutoring with maths tutoring.

Can you tutor online?

Yes. We offer online physics tutoring via Zoom with digital whiteboards and screen sharing. This is ideal for students who need specialist physics support but live outside our in-person areas.

Teaching Methods That Work for Physics

Our physics tutoring is built around how students actually learn. We begin each topic with a short diagnostic conversation to find out what the student understands and where the gaps are. The tutor then introduces concepts in small steps, using worked examples before asking the student to solve problems independently.

We use diagrams, animations, simulations, and physical models to make abstract ideas concrete. A student studying electromagnetic induction, for example, might explore a simple motor model or use a simulation to see magnetic flux change in real time.
