Learning support
One-to-one tutoring for children with auditory processing difficulties in Bali. Clear written instructions, a quieter workspace and regular checks for understanding help make schoolwork more accessible.

Auditory processing disorder (APD) describes difficulty making sense of sounds — especially speech — when hearing itself is typical. A child may hear an instruction clearly yet lose it on the way to understanding, particularly in a noisy classroom.
Parents usually write when a child seems not to listen, asks for constant repetition, or copes far better one-to-one than in a group. Most students we support attend Bali international schools.
One-to-one tutoring removes the two conditions under which auditory processing difficulties bite hardest: background noise and divided attention. In a quiet villa room, a tutor can speak plainly, check understanding as they go, and put every instruction in writing as well as in speech.
We are tutors, not clinicians — we do not diagnose or treat APD, and we do not provide auditory training. Assessment belongs with a qualified audiologist, often alongside a speech and language therapist.
Sessions favour the visual. Instructions, task lists and key vocabulary are written down. New ideas arrive in short segments with pauses for the child to repeat back what they understood, so misunderstandings are caught immediately.
The tutor faces the child when speaking, keeps the room quiet and paces speech to the child, not the clock. Reading and discussion sit side by side, because text often succeeds where speech alone does not.
We reply within one working day and confirm tutor availability and profile timing after the discovery call. With your permission, the tutor can discuss useful classroom adjustments with the school, such as seating, written instructions and checks for understanding. Standard tutoring for children is IDR 500,000 per hour; any specialist requirements and rates are confirmed before booking. The first session is refunded in full if you tell us within 48 hours that it was not right.
Tutoring is educational support only. It does not replace audiological assessment or speech and language therapy, and we do not claim to improve auditory processing itself. What we can do is teach schoolwork in a form your child can reliably access.
A clear boundary: For APD assessment, we signpost families to qualified audiologists.
Children with auditory processing difficulties typically hear sounds normally; the difficulty lies in interpreting them, especially speech in noise. A qualified audiologist assesses this.
We make no such claim. Tutoring changes how teaching is delivered: quieter settings, written instructions and constant checking of understanding.
